In order to be eligible to apply for a Nebraska concealed carry permit, you must be:
- Be twenty-one or older
- Have completed an accredited in-person or online firearm training course
- Be a resident of Nebraska or be in the armed forces or a spouse of someone in the military
- Be an American citizen
- Not have been convicted of certain misdemeanors within the last ten years, including stalking, violation of an order of protection, sexual assault and public indecency.
Under the Concealed Carry Reciprocity legislation, Nebraska will recognize permits issued by those states which have standards equal to or greater than Nebraska. Steps to Acquire a Nebraska Concealed Carry Permit
Concealed weapons permits are processed at the state level by the Nebraska State Police.
- Complete a weapons safety and training course in person or online at a Nebraska-approved facility or website.
- Obtain a certificate of completion of the course.

Non-Residents: Why choose online CCW training?
Nebraska residents cannot apply for the Virginia Non-resident Concealed Handgun Permit to qualify for their CCW training. Nebraska requires the course to be taught in person. Students must shoot demonstrate proficiency in safety and fundamentals of shooting.
